In June of 2022, the United States Supreme Court ruled to<\/span> reverse the decision on Roe v. Wade<\/span><\/a>. In place since 1973, Roe v. Wade was a Supreme Court legal case ruling that protected abortion as a constitutional right.\u00a0<\/span> This year, the Supreme Court decided that abortion would no longer be considered a right granted by the constitution. The overturn of Roe v. Wade means that abortion is no longer federally protected. The rules surrounding abortion will now rest largely in the hands of each individual state.<\/span> Understandably, you may have questions about what the Roe v. Wade overturn means for access to abortions in Minnesota. If so, you\u2019re not alone. You may wonder, is abortion still legal in Minnesota?\u00a0<\/span> It\u2019s normal to have questions and fears about your options after the Supreme Court ruling, especially if you\u2019re experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.<\/span> \u00a0<\/p>\n Although abortion is no longer constitutionally protected, there are Minnesota laws that protect abortion.<\/span> Abortion<\/span><\/a> is still legal in Minnesota and<\/span> protected by the Minnesota constitution<\/span><\/a> despite the overturn of Roe v.
