Pregnancy Choices offers no cost, confidential STD/STI testing and treatment to Dakota County and the Twin Cities metro.

STD/STI Testing On Your Terms


We provide offsite lab testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea, two of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in Minnesota.

If you test positive for either chlamydia or gonorrhea, immediately following the lab report, our nursing staff will order your prescription and send it to your pharmacy of choice or schedule you for an appointment to treat your STD/STI at Pregnancy Choices.

Prepare for Your Appointment

STD/STI appointments generally take between 30-60 minutes, depending on your needs.

Please do not urinate for at least one hour before coming to your appointment. You can expect to leave a urine sample and be on your way! However, you’ll have the option to meet with a certified life coach in a safe, comfortable, and private environment to discuss any questions you may have.

We expect to receive results from the lab 2-4 days after your appointment and you will be contacted by our nurse regarding the results.

Should I get tested even if I’m not having any symptoms?

Yes! – According to the CDC website, most people who have chlamydia or gonorrhea report no symptoms.

Why should I get tested?

Anyone can become infected through sexual intercourse with an infected person and changing sexual partners adds to the risk of becoming infected. Sometimes, early in the infection, there may be no symptoms, or symptoms may be easily confused with other illnesses. It’s important to get tested to ensure the safety of yourself and your partner(s).
